Health Insurance

The full fee is pre-paid in advance of each session via Venmo or Zelle.  I do not bill insurance directly for my fees or accept co-payments.

Many PPO insurance plans offer partial coverage for my work as as an out of network California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  In some cases, it may be subject to a yearly deductible before you will receive reimbursement.  Coverage and benefits are subject to the terms and restrictions of your plan.

The rate of reimbursement, yearly deductible and the number of covered sessions varies from plan to plan and can change from one year to the next.  One call to your insurance company can answer these questions.

If you have out of network coverage for individual or couples therapy, I will provide you with a super bill to sign and submit.  Clients are responsible for verifying their insurance coverage, submitting claims and for follow up as needed.

HMO insurance plans, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medi-Cal and Medicaid do not cover my work.
